Tales of Two Hypnotists
by Dr. William Harwood
ISBN: 978-1-935444-21-3
The Great Zubrick is a second-string stage hypnotist in Australia who becomes a superstar in Canada.
The Last Hypnotist is a sometime priest who graduates from hypnaughtying nuns to entertaining theatre audiences at a time when the UK is the last country in which a stage hypnotist can still find an audience sufficiently credulous to believe that amateur playactors are "hypnotized."
William Harwood is the author of 45 books, fiction and nonfiction, and over 600 articles for skeptical and freethought publications in nine countries.

The Great Zubrick, by William Harwood, reviewed by Jack Truett in Pagan Palaver, Summer 2003.
Snake-oil Peddlers might also have been a good name for this book. However, it is more tragedy than my suggested alternate title would imply. The real tragedy occurs, however, to those who believe in the celebs and idols, not to the worshipped stars themselves. Knowing a person as thoroughly as this book introduces us to Zubrick is frightening. Not your type novel? Bite your tongue! You’ll hardly notice the crafty characterization, for it is interwoven with sexual romps galore (all kinds of them), plus more financial skulduggery than our Congress dreams up. Here is an in-depth understanding into what is really behind many of our most worshipped celebs, leaders, preachers, evangelists, et al. As you see how and why we make the vacuous icons wealthy, that reality may frighten you even more.
Truth after truth stares one in the face from this book. It is almost certain to cause many readers to change their minds about many things. Not only will thinking, open-minded people love this book; they will be compelled to re-evaluate many of their own idols and beliefs. But aside from all of that, Harwood has written a very gripping novel for those who enjoy a good story. Just as I did, you may wonder as you read it if it should not be classified as History, rather than fiction. You’ll know what I mean as you laugh, sometimes cry, and often shudder as the many true to life scenes, incidents, and human frailties unfold before you.
If you aren’t into computer buying, you may get the book from the special order desk of any bookstore.
